My mother and father are my biggest supporters. They have supported my insane passion for animals. They provide advice, hard labor at the farm, and a shoulder for the bad days, hard days, broke days, and sad days. They are salt of the Earth, and mean the world to me. My mom is my best friend and the strength behind my drive. My dad is all a dad should be; my hero.
SFC Robert T. Wolf, US Army, Deceased. May 21, 1970-November 14, 2013. This man is all a man should be; supportive, kind, the calm to my storm, gentle, dignified, and secure. He is the reason for everything we have here at DTMM. None of it would be possible without him seeing me through my crazy, and expensive, dreams. He often wondered how many animals was "enough" for me. Hey, Rob, we are still growing. On my dark days, I can still hear him tell me, "everything is gonna be all right." It worked, every time he said it. And this whole foundation is rooted in him, his spirit, his guidance, and his belief in me.

Marlene Spano, US Army, Ret, and retired teacher, is my aunt. She is the biggest supporter of my dreams and goals here. She is why we have the new barn, and the reason Alsana is alive. She stands behind all my decisions, unwaveringly. She has taught me perseverance and faith in myself gets us everywhere in life, well, and a little hard work, too. This woman is as solid as they come, and kind and wise, as well.

Hello, everyone! I'm Jeremy Shults, and I have an amazing story to tell about the life I have lived, and how, by the Grace of God, I managed to survive.
I wouldn't have survived had it not been for Divine Intervention. I truly believe the reason I survived was so I could help others struggling with substance use and/or alcoholism. There is nothing anyone can talk to me about regarding substance abuse that I wouldn't understand.
Therefore, I've chosen to focus on helping others by becoming a Certified Addictions Tech and joining Destinacion’s Therapy and Maybell’s Mission INC. I am in classes to become a CAT in order to do just that. I know sharing my own experiences, and what can and will happen when continuing to use, will support others in a big way. I have the stories, scars, and legal battles to prove we can overcome this disease. Addiction has cost me friends, family members, and time I'll never get back again.
At almost 50, I can say I barely made it here alive; many don't. I truly just want to help those who need a compass for the journey ahead as they make their way through hell, as I have. As a recovering survivor of substance abuse and alcoholism, understand the highs and lows my clients will experience. For example, I never finished my schooling to become an EMT because I was arrested for drugs before its completion. My Addictions have cost me so much. But, I believe, here is where I belong and it's why I went through all I did. I will join Destinacion's as soon as I'm qualified.

Welding in The Mile High City
Prior to becoming a Certified Addictions Tech, I was an Iron Worker and Certified Welder. I'm a hard worker and am passionate about all I do.
I can't wait to meet new people with stories of inspiration, to work with them all, and help others find their new life. My tattoos may make me appear intimidating, but I assure you, I'm just a big teddy bear. I am all heart and have been given this amazing opportunity to use it to help others. My main goal is to help others save their life, or the life of someone they love who is feeling lost. I hope many people allow me to do just that.
I look forward to the future. Together, we will treat and address those substance abuse concerns, and I offer equine assisted therapy, groups, classes, and office therapy, among many other innovative, state-approved modalities. Carrie Bierland is a great advisor in my therapy practice and lover of animals, She laughs with them and cries for them, and with me. She owns a few fabulous horses and loves them as children. Anytime I ask her for anything at all, there she is! This is a remarkable horsewoman, friend, advisor, mom, and hard worker. I am honored she is a part of us here at DTMM.
Crystal Hampton has been a solid and reliable volunteer. She does the dirty work, the fun work, handles horses with ease and love, and is a comfort to clients. In all weather, through all situations, she stands ready and stable to support all we do here. She is someone I can always call on for a variety of tasks, and I trust it will be done with love and perfection. I love her, and her family is so special to me.
Lindy is my own therapist at the day's end, though not licensed in therapy (haha). She is a teacher with whom I spent every day for 10 years. Today, she is still a part of all I am and all I do. Her commitment to reminding me of my value, ability, and doing what's best around here, is astounding. She never tires of guiding me, and I am eternally grateful.

Maddie Sida is a high school volunteer whose natural calm and soft-spoken nature makes the animals around her feel at peace. She is a lifesaver for the farm regularly, and will do anything asked of her. She is always wanting to learn, and is truly the sweetest person you'll ever meet.
Terry Taylor is my best friend of nearly 20 years. She transports, advises, assists, and provides emotional support to the farm, and to me. She is my rock and the most loyal person I could ever ask for. I love this lady with all I am.

Savanna Cooper is a volunteer and takes care of all critters here, large and small. What can I say about Savanna? She radiates love and peace and is gentle in all she does. Genuine and sweet, she asks questions, learns, is willing, never complains, and is always available to help in any way. Savanna is invaluable to me, and takes time to merely stop and hug the animals.

My volunteers, clients, and supporters are the reason we run every day, and provide me all the reason I need to wake up each day to do my best. And to the animals; you are why I smile, live, breathe, and fight for you each day. You are the best therapists of all, and I love you so much.
